    In my closing days wearing the uniform I have had a chance to reflect on my time with the 507th and how great of an opportunity this has been for me. Some areas that we worked to improve included the training process, multiple levels of communication, the creation of the Tinker Development and Training Flight, a rebuild and structure of the First Sergeants and Chiefs council, as well as changes to awards programs and family day in an attempt to put focus where it truly counts…on our Airmen!
  • Reserve wing mourns loss of civil engineer

    TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- A senior non-commissioned officer in the 507th Civil Engineer Squadron here passed away June 9 at his home in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Senior Master Sgt. John Schulze, former superintendent of the pavement and construction section, 507th CES, served a combined 32 years in the Air Force, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve. He served with distinction, and deployed in support of Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

    Citizen Airmen of the 72nd Aerial Port Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., competed in their annual rodeo May 6, 2017, in a show of learning, team-building and esprit-de-corps. Five teams of Airmen completed five tasks within a certain time, while being evaluated for safety, proficiency and knowledge.
  • Star Spangled Salute to be held this weekend at Tinker

    The 2017 Star Spangled Salute Air Show is scheduled for May 20-21 at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. The free event is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is co-hosted by Team Tinker, the Eastern Oklahoma Tourism Council and the city of Midwest City. Flying acts are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

  • Welcome Home

    TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- More than 90 Citizen Airmen and four KC-135R Stratotankers from the 507th Air Refueling Wing here returned home Feb. 17 and 19 after supporting deployed air operations against ISIS at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. The Reservists provided air refueling support to U.S. and coalition forces operating in U.S. Central Command's area of responsibility for Operation Inherent Resolve from Dec. 13, 2016, to Feb. 16.
