Commander's Safety Emphasis
Safety and risk management are everyone's responsibility. All personnel have a duty to ensure we remain mishap free. Injury, illness, or damage to equipment greatly affects our ability to provide, operate and maintain our mission within the 507th Air Refueling Wing and around the globe.
Total mishap prevention is our safety program goal. Prevention begins by embracing safety as the first step in every task. In order to achieve this, we need committed members in the 507th Air Refueling Wing to accomplish tasks per the Technical Orders, Air Force Instructions and safety guidance. Our primary goal must be to accomplish our mission as safely as possible.
We all share the responsibility to ensure that every activity, whether on or off duty, is performed in a safe manner. Be a good Wingman. Look out for one another. Be familiar with the wing's Mishap and Hazard Reporting Instructions. Know and utilize Risk Management principles, and don't accept unnecessary risk. Once the risk has been assessed, ensure risk decisions are made at the appropriate level. Hazards or unsafe conditions that go unresolved often results in personal injury or property damage.
