507th TFG Thunderchief newspaper cover
This is the cover of the Thunderchief newspaper from January 1975. The Newspaper details the mission of the 507th Tactical Group, U.S. Air Force Reserve at Tinker Force Base, Oklahoma. The cover story is about a Reserve pilot that flew an F-105 for its 5,000th hour. The 507th Tactical Fighter Group reactivated here and replaced the 937th Military Airlift Group for the Air Force Reserve on May 20, 1972. This made the 507th TFG the first Air Force Reserve group to have fighter aircraft in nearly twenty years. (U.S. Air Force Photo)
