Messages from Air Force Leaders

Black History Month

One Team, One Fight: A diverse force of Airmen and Guardians performing hundreds of missions are what make us the best, most innovative Air Force and Space Force the world has ever known.

The Department of Defense recognizes African American/Black History Month each February to honor the contributions of African American and Black Airmen, Guardians and others throughout our Nation’s history, through times of peace and conflict, and to celebrate present leaders and their ability to inspire the next generation of warfighters.

All Airmen and Guardians, military and civilian alike, should learn from the resilience and excellence of leaders who have inspired greatness.

Air Force Recruiting Service’s Aviation Inspiration Mentorship (AIM) team connects Total Force rated officers to Black youth and influencers in order to inspire talented youth to pursue careers in aviation and space operations.
