For 13 May, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Charlie due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Yesterday, extreme Microsoft Outlook email latency issues were found across the AF Network (AFNET), impacting Tinker and multiple other bases throughout the AF.  Impacted users are instructed to use webmail (https://webmail.apps.mil/owa/) where possible. Thank you for remaining patient.

This week we have many reopenings across the base as we begin a gradual and measured return to full capacity. Gerrity Fitness Center is open to military only for now, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is with sign-ins, 1-hour limits for workouts, and building occupancy limits. Auto Hobby, Arts and Crafts, ITT and Outdoor Rec have reopened as well with limited services. The AAFES Barber Shop is now open to all patrons. With these reopenings, remember to maintain social distancing, use proper hand washing, and wear a mask when applicable.

A temporary waiver has also been approved for the 180-day hiring waiting period for retired military members in medical or health professions, acquisitions, engineering and installation infrastructure. This waiver expires on November 1st. The full waiver can be found on www.dcpas.osd.mil

For non-medical COVID-19 concerns, the Straight Talk Center is available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. It can be reached at 405-734-2567.
