  • 507th Air Refueling Wing Civil Engineer Squadron member Staff Sgt. Erick Liftee has received a WOW certificate for his superior work while deployed to Kirkuk AB, Iraq. Sergeant Liftee is an Air Force Reserve structural engineer currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In addition to receiving a certificate of appreciation Sergeant Liftee was presented with a commanders coin from (pictured) Col. Richard Scobee, 506th AEG commander. Colonel Scobee is also an Air Force Reservist and stateside is the commander of the 944th Fighter Wing out of Luke AFB, Ariz.

  • Senior Airman David Chain, Tech. Sgt. Troy Chaddon, and Staff Sgt. Jacob Ellis conduct inspections on a KC-135 at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. All three are members of the Oklahoma Air National Guard's 137th Air Refueling Wing. The 137th ARW is an associate unit to the Air Force Reserve's 507th Air Refueling Wing. The two wings merged, with the 137th ARW becoming an associate wing to the 507th ARW, as a decision from the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. This new partnership represents the first time for an Air National Guard wing to be associated to an Air Force Reserve wing.
