Chief Master Sgt. Alphonzo Glover is the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 513th Air Control Group, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. In this position he is responsible for the effective management and utilization of over 400 airmen across four squadrons and group staff agencies. Additionally, he advises the commander on all personnel matters including health, welfare, morale, safety, professional development, readiness and discipline.
Chief Glover enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in April 2000 and graduated from the C-135 Aerospace Maintenance Apprentice Training course in August 2000. In his 22 years, he has served in a variety of management and leadership positions, and served in direct support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, INHERENT RESOLVE and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL.
Additionally, Chief Glover serves as a Chief Orientation Course facilitator for Air Force Reserve Command’s Professional Development Center. In this capacity, he participates in senior leadership development of dozens of newly selected reserve chief master sergeants. Prior to his current duty position, the chief was the Aircraft Maintenance Quality Assurance Chief Enlisted Manager, 931st Maintenance Group, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas.
