The Gerrity Fitness Center is excited to offer Pickleball at Tinker AFB to our awesome customers.

We will be hosting a Pickleball Doubles Tournament on 15 April, beginning at 8:00 a.m.  The event will be played on our tennis court pavilion, located on the west side of building 6004 along McNarney Avenue. Two of our four courts will be transformed to facilitate hosting this event to include temporarily adding playing line boundaries.  Based upon participation and demand, the opportunity for one court to remain Pickleball-ready for daily open play is high and is one of the main goals in hosting this event.

The game of Pickleball is played world-wide with popularity increasing yearly.  It is a combination between tennis, ping pong, and badminton.  The sport can be played with 2-4 participants, using paddles made out of wood or composite materials, and a wiffle ball.  A team can only get a point when they are serving, and after every point teammates switch spots.  To win the game, a team must score 11 points and be ahead by at least 2 points.

Pickle Ball is just one of the many programs available to our community. The goal of our sports program is to provide quality programs and services. We are continually improving our activities to meet customer needs through expanding programs, growing our operations, and remaining flexible with the new trends in fitness and sports. Visit Gerrity Fitness Center or our 24/7 access facilities, 3705 and 216 Annex, for your fitness and wellness needs.
