TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- After four years, the Tinker Air Show is returning July 1-2 with featured headliner, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
The F-35 demo team will also perform as well as dozens of military and civilian aerial performers and a wide variety of ground display aircraft such as Tinker’s own E-3 Sentry AWACS, the U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury, and the KC-135 Stratotanker.
The theme for this year’s air show is “STEM Takes Flight,” highlighting science, technology, engineering and mathematics that make human flight possible.
The open house will also feature a mix of artisans showcasing talents such as sheet metal mechanics and welders.
Once again, the air show will have a STEM City exhibit for children and adults alike. Exhibits are designed to encourage outside of the box thinking to solve problems the way Tinker’s engineers and mechanics do every single day to deliver air power for America.
Admission to the air show is free and everyone is encouraged to come early. Gates are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
Team Tinker is still adding performers, ground displays and exhibits, so be sure to check Tinker’s website, www.tinker.af.mil, as well as social media for the most updated information; Facebook @TinkerAirForceBase, Twitter @Team_Tinker, and Instagram @Tinkerairforcebase. The air show will be livestreamed on Tinker’s Facebook page for those who can’t make it out. Also, the official app for the 2023 Tinker Air Show is ‘AF Connect’ and it can be downloaded free from your favorite app store.
