In a sign of the times, the ruddervator of KC-135R aircraft number 58-0121 now reflects the merger of the Air Force Reserve's 507th Air Refueling Wing and the Air National Guard's 137th Air Refueling Wing to all future air refueling receivers. The two wings merged, with the 137th ARW becoming an associate wing to the 507th ARW, as a decision from the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. This new partnership represents the first time for an Air National Guard wing to be associated to an Air Force Reserve wing.
