Members of the 507th Operations Group participated in a major exercise during the November UTA.

Throughout the exercise one shop's goal was Life Support. Life Support technicians assisted aircrew members from both the 507th Operations Group and the Air National Guard' s 137th Operations Group make preflight inspections.

Aircrew Fight Equipment Technician, Staff Sergeant Dustin Nottnagel guided aircrew members through these preflight equipment inspections, ensuring equipment usability and accountability.

Nottnagel, an eight year member of the organization and Air Reserve Technician, directed 137th Operations Group's Lt. Col. Johnathan Benton through the Aircrew Eye and Respiratory System (AERPS). "We help pilots inventory their chem. bags. AERPS allows us to preflight the pilot's mask and helmet. This process ensures they properly fit and are operational, just in case they need to don their mask in flight, said Nottnagel."
