Because of the severe winter weather the 465th Air Refueling Squadron, 507th Air Refueling Wing is offering another opportunity to those interested in Undergraduate Pilot Training.

Periodically as the need arises, the squadron announces it is accepting applications from individuals wishing to become pilots.

The squadron held an Open House during the weekend drill February 5 and 6 however the severe winter weather prevented many from attending.  According to Lt. Col. Michael Remualdo, the squadron project officer overseeing UPT applications," I had 12 pledges committed to visiting until the weather became the issue that it was. Only three made it in."

The squadron is now set to hold a second Open House on Friday and Saturday March 4 and 5.  It is designed to allow potential cadets and aircrew to become acquainted with each other as well as to answer questions about pilot training and provide information regarding on-the-job operational flying activities.  "The intent is to allow pledges come and go as their schedule permits during the Open House," Colonel Remualdo said.  He added that because of squadron training requirements, the Open House will  not be held on Sunday.

Because of base security requirements, all interested UPT candidates should arrange in advance to meet an escort at the Gott Gate (SE 59th/Air Depot Road) for base entry. Please call Lt. Col. Remualdo at (405) 245-2746 or e-mail him at michael.remualdo@tinker.af.mil to arrange for a base escort.
