Senior Master Sergeant Treva Bragg Ragland receives Meritorious Service Medal

Senior Master Sergeant Treva R. Bragg Ragland of the 507th Civil Engineer Squadron, recently received an Air Force Meritorious Service Medal during a 507th Air Refueling Wing assembly.

The citation read during the award presentation cited Sergeant Ragland for her outstanding professional skill, leadership and ceaseless efforts fin making major contributions to the effectiveness and success of civil engineer squadron programs.

Ragland's supervisors praised her job performance stating that, as the squadron's unit training manager, she stood at the helm of excellence in her unit, by driving multiple successes and unrivaled achievements. Her efforts both challenged and inspired squadron members to achieve greater success and higher scores in completing mandatory career development courses. She held Airmen accountable for training responsibilities by developing the Commander's Study Hall during Unit Training Assemblies for those delinquent in skill level upgrade training.  She instituted a process to screen Airmen preparing for their end-of-course exams with pre-tests, reduced squadron test failures to less than one percent.  Her efforts also helped to inspire squadron Airmen by initiating the Commander's Honor Roll plaque for Airmen scoring ninety percent or higher on their end-of-course Career Development Course exams.

As a key organizer, implementer and leader of the Wing Human Resource Development Council, she stayed on top of council processes, goals and objectives by attending Air Force Reserve Command seminars and c lasses. The 72nd Air Base Wing Command Chief handpicked her to plan, organize and implement Tinker's quarterly award luncheons and Tinker's monthly promotion ceremonies. She volunteered assisting Air Force Reserve Command recruiting at the Oklahoma State Fair and three local high schools and she assisted as a volunteer with Tinker's Fourth of July open house, serving her fellow Airmen as well as the community.
