507th Civil Engineer Squadron gets new commander

Pettine, a Dearborn, Michigan native comes to the 507th CES with an extensive background in civil engineering.

She began her Air Force civil engineering career on active duty serving at Schriever and Eielson Air Force Bases before joining the Air Force Reserves.

In her nearly 25 years of service, Pettine has served in the Air National Guard and as an Air Force Reserve Individual Mobilization Augmentee.

Lt. Col. Pettine comes to the 507th after serving a three-year tour as a Senior Program Manager at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

During the assumption of command ceremony, Pettine said she is looking forward to coming back in the civil engineering world.

"The squadron is in a really good place," she said. "I can't wait to get started, let's see what we can do from here."

Lt. Col. Pettine graduated the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering degree. She received her Master of Science in Environmental Engineering degree from the University of Washington.

Stahl, the former CES Commander, now serves as the Mission Support Group Deputy Commander. He served as commander from the spring of 2010 until his departure in November 2012.
