Local Tuskegee Airmen chapter tours a KC-135

Wood is a member of the Charles B. Hall Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen in Oklahoma City. The members spent four days of camp at Tinker AFB recently as they learned about rocket building and launching, Tuskegee Airmen history and science and classes in aviation and science careers. Tours were also given to the group at the Federal Aviation Administration facility and the KC-135 Stratotanker. According to Mahlon Smith, vice-president of the Charles B. Hall chapter of Tuskegee Airmen Incorporated in Oklahoma City, this camp is the first for this group and was in the planning stages for seven months. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Mark Hybers)
