Lieutenant Colonel LISA M. HAIK

Lt. Col. Lisa M. Haik is the commander of the 507th Medical Squadron, 507th Air Refueling Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. She leads a squadron of 101 airmen responsible for healthcare operations and medical readiness for the 507th Air Refueling Wing, 513th Air Control Group and a geographically separated unit of more than 1,600 Reserve members.

Lt. Col. Haik was commissioned through Air Force ROTC at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1998. She completed the Nurse Transition Program at the 81st Medical Group, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, and served as a clinical nurse with the 96th Surgical Operations Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. As a Reservist, she has provided care to more than 19,000 active-duty service members and beneficiaries with the 1st Special Operations Medical Group, Hurlburt Field, Florida. While there, she supported the wing’s COVID-19 response, performing triage, engaging the public health team and educating patients on care and precautions.

From April to October 2019, she commanded the 455th En Route Patient Staging Flight, 455th Expeditionary Medical Group, at Craig Joint Theater Hospital, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and the NATO Resolute Support mission. The Office of the Secretary of Defense named Haik Medical Planner of the Year for planning and executing the Innovative Readiness Training mission Ozark Highlands. Her team of 144 service members provided more than $1 million in medical, dental and optometry care to underserved communities in rural Arkansas. Haik also served as chief of education and training for the 927th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, preparing medics and nurses for deployment to Afghanistan’s sole En Route Patient Staging Flight. Before her current position, she was chief nurse of the 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron, Keesler Air Force Base, overseeing medical training and readiness verification for 20 nurses and 48 medical technicians.
