Airman's role brings career full circle
KARSHI-KHANABAD AIR BASE, Uzbekistan -- Lt. Col. Donald Klinko joined the Air Force in 1972 as a security police officer and was assigned to Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. More than 30 years later, the colonel, now a reservist, has maintained his proficiency in the career field and has twice joined security forces fly-away teams to forward-deployed locations in Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom.
