KC-135 50th Anniversary
In recognition of the KC-135's 50th year of service in the U.S. Air Force, special commemorative nose art now decorates aircraft tail 58-0063. The Air Force conducted the first test flight of the KC-135 on August 31, 1956. This KC-135R Statotanker hails from the 507th Air Refueling Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, located at Tinker AFB, Okla. A special 50th anniversary celebration is scheduled to take place at Tinker AFB on September 8 and 9th. For more information go to www.kc135.org
