CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT JEFFREY L. DAVIS

Chief Master Sgt. Jeffrey L. Davis is the Superintendent for the 513th Air Control Group at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The 513th is the only Air Force Reserve unit that maintains and flies the E-3 Sentry, an Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft, and reports directly to 10th Air Force. The chief is responsible for the effective management and utilization of more than 260 enlisted aircrew, maintenance and support personnel in 15 Air Force specialties working in support of airborne command and control operations.

Chief Davis enlisted in the Air Force in 1992 after graduating from Tulsa Christian High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served six years on active duty in the 552nd Air Control Wing at Tinker before continuing his military service in the Air Force Reserve with the 970th Airborne Air Control Squadron. While assigned to the 970th, Davis was the noncommissioned officer in charge of radar technicians and was responsible for training and operational management of the section.

Chief Davis has more than 23 years of experience in operational squadrons including training, safety, command and control, and joint and multi-national operations. He is a senior technician with more than 3,000 flight hours in the E-3, including missions flown in support of operations Northern Watch, Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Noble Eagle and Iraqi Freedom.
