(Archived - Former Command Chief of the 507th Air Refueling Wing - Left the 507th ARW in March 2020) Chief Master Sergeant David B. Dickson is the Command Chief of the 507th Air Refueling Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. As the senior enlisted non-commissioned officer, Chief Dickson is responsible for advising the commander on the health, welfare, morale and discipline of the Citizen Airmen in the largest Air Force Reserve flying unit in the state of Oklahoma.
The wing consists of three subordinate groups and 11 squadrons employing more than 1,100 Airmen operating and maintaining eight KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft. The wing also provides peacetime administrative support functions for the 513th Air Control Group, the Reserve Command's only Airborne Warning and Control Systems organization, the 35th Combat Communications Squadron and the 1st Aviation Standards Flight.
Chief Dickson grew up in Meeker, Oklahoma, and entered the Air Force in May 1992 through Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He has held many leadership roles in the security forces and group superintendent career fields. He has been stationed at various locations in Oklahoma as well as numerous deployments to locations in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Japan and Germany.
